Turkey Experiencing Low Inflation Rates

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed today, Friday, that annual inflation in Turkey decreased in February by a small level, to 55.18%.

Inflation eased after hitting 57.68% in January, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The International Monetary Fund expects Turkish inflation to reach 51.2% this year, with average global inflation expected at 6.6%.

The inflation data comes as Turkey prepares to send billions of dollars to rebuild areas hit by the February 6 earthquake.
