Turkey donates aircraft equipment to Georgian armed forces

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced today, Sunday, that the Turkish government has supplied the Georgian Defense Forces with special equipment for the airport and spare parts for military helicopters.

The Turkish defense statement said that “the Turkish Air Force and Air Defense Command has transferred two pieces of special equipment for the airport and spare parts for UH-1H helicopters.”

The transfer ceremony took place at the Marnioli air base near the Georgian capital Tbilisi, where the commander of the Georgian Air Defense Forces Sergo Nino and the Turkish military attache Burak Altiner signed a memorandum on this occasion.

The Turkish defense indicated that the supply of equipment was carried out under an agreement on military-financial cooperation between the two countries.
