Turkey announces elimination of scheme "Explosion of terrorists on Istiklal street" intelligence operation in Syria

Anadolu agency reported that Turkish intelligence managed to neutralize Khalil Manji, who was planning a terrorist attack on Istiklal Street in Istanbul, during an operation in Syria.

Security sources told the agency, “The intelligence agency has received information about the presence of Munji, who is a member of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and the terrorist YPG, in the city of Qamishli in Al-Hasakah. Province, northeastern Syria. The agency tracked down Munji, who was informed that he was under the organization’s protection and was in contact with the YPG leaders.”

Sources said that “terrorist Khalil Munji was neutralized during the operation in Qamishli on February 22.”

It stated that “Monji directed the perpetrators of the attack, Ahlam al-Bashir and Bilal Hasan, and ensured the latter’s escape from Turkey.”

A terrorist explosion took place on Istiklal Street in central Istanbul on November 13, killing 6 civilians and injuring 81 people.

During an investigation by the Turkish security service, terrorist Ahlam al-Bashir admitted to being a member of the BKK/YPG/BYD organization.
