The Turkish Defense Ministry announced the neutralization of 10 PKK fighters, whom Turkey classifies as “terrorists”, in northern Iraq.
And the Anatolia Agency, citing the ministry, stated that this happened in the area of u200bu200bthe “castle of the claw”, according to the name adopted by Ankara.
“The Turkish army is determined to eradicate terrorism from its very roots,” the ministry said in a statement.
Turkey launched this operation on April 18 against the positions of the PKK in the areas of Matina, Zab and Afshin-Basian in northern Iraq.
