British Prime Minister Liz Truss announced London’s determination to work with its allies so that Taiwan can defend itself against China.
“We are determined to work with our allies to ensure that Taiwan can defend itself,” Truss said in an interview with CNN published today, Sunday.
She added that her government is working with its G7 allies, including the US, Japan and Canada, to reduce “strategic reliance” on China and secure a “common response” to the threat of military aggression from Beijing.
“I have made it very clear that all of our allies need to make sure that Taiwan is capable of defending itself. This is very important and important,” she said.
A few days ago, US President Joe Biden confirmed that the United States would defend Taiwan if China invaded.
