Former U.S. President Donald Trump responded to businessman Elon Musk, who announced that he was opposed to Trump running for president again, saying, “He should focus on the lawsuit filed by Twitter.”
“I don’t hate this guy,” Musk said, “but it’s time for Trump to put on his hat and go into the sunset. Democrats should also stop attacking…Trump will be 82.”
Trump responded to him in a series of Truth Social posts, claiming he was the reason for much of Musk’s success and claiming that the Tesla CEO told him that he supported him.
“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking for help to support his many projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t last long enough, or self-driving cars that break down, or sending rockets out of nowhere, without which he would be useless,” Trump said. He added: “I could tell him to get on his knees and beg… and he would. Now Elon has to focus on getting out of the Twitter clutter because he might owe $44 billion for something that’s probably worth nothing… and there’s a lot of competition. “On electric cars!”
