Trump on the woman who accused him of rape: not my type

Former US President Donald Trump responded to his call to appear in court in a defamation suit against him by a woman who accused him of raping her in the mid-1990s by saying, “That’s not my type.”

The former president issued a statement denying that he attacked author E. Jane Carroll at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York City in 1996, stating: “This case is not sincere, and our legal system in this country, and especially in New York State, it’s a shame.”

He added: “I don’t know this woman, I have no idea who she is… I made up a story that I met her at the door of this busy store in New York… It’s a hoax and a lie. , like all the other jokes that have been played on me over the past seven years. “And although I shouldn’t say it, I will. This woman is not my type!”

“Now all I have to do is spend a few more years on legal bullshit to clear my name from her and her lawyer’s fake attacks,” he said.
