Tracking a Hot Air Balloon by the US Military in Hawaii

Three US officials have announced that the US military is tracking a balloon of unknown origin and destination that flew over the Hawaiian Islands, according to NBC TV.

According to the channel, the balloon flew over the archipelago belonging to the United States, but remained in an area remote from secret objects.

The statement said: “The Army has been tracking it (the balloon) since the end of last week and concluded that it does not pose a threat to aircraft or national security and does not send any signals.” Now the airship is slowly flying over the Pacific Ocean towards Mexico.

And last February, the US military shot down a hot air balloon over the Atlantic Ocean that was allegedly being used by the Chinese to gather intelligence.

NBC reported that “U.S. authorities do not believe the airship belongs to the Chinese, but has not yet identified its owner.”
