Title: Ronaldo Emerges as the Top Scorer in International Goals for the Past Two Decades

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo led his country to a massive win over Liechtenstein with four unanswered goals early in their campaign in the 2024 European Nations Cup qualifiers.

Portugal advanced with two goals scored by defender Joao Cancelo and midfielder Bernardo Silva in two minutes (8 and 47). And then veteran star Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the tally by scoring two goals in a row in two minutes (51 and 63) of the match that brought them together on Thursday night.

Ronaldo, the Madeira Rocket, extended his record as the top scorer internationally in history with 120 goals.

And the Squaca network reported that Cristiano Ronaldo (38) maintained his goalscoring record for Portugal by scoring for the 20th consecutive year of his international career.

The Portuguese star also became the most representative player in the world for national teams with 197 international appearances, ending a partnership with Kuwaiti Bader Al Mutawa who appeared in 196 international matches.

Portugal racked up three match points to top Group X (J), ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who in turn beat their Icelandic guest 3-0 in a meeting that also brought them together on Thursday night.

This group also includes Luxembourg, Slovakia and Liechtenstein.
