The United States is targeting companies that support Russia’s access to advanced technology.

The White House has announced that states will prevent Russian-backed companies from accessing technology, including semiconductors, as part of sanctions against Russia.

According to the White House, “the US Department of Commerce will take appropriate action against companies around the world found to be complicit with Russia.”

The White House said in a statement: “The US Department of Commerce will add several companies around the world to the list, which will prevent them from buying US-origin goods and technologies, such as semiconductors.”

And earlier, the media reported that the Taiwanese authorities banned the export of electronic chips to Russia and Belarus, the frequency of which exceeds 25 MHz.

After Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, Western countries imposed “tough” economic sanctions against Russia, affecting various sectors of the economy, companies and individuals.
