Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the United States blocked the participation of Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev in the UN interior ministers’ summit.
In this regard, Nebenzya said: “Due to the actions of the American side, the participation of the Russian delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, headed by Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, was disrupted.
Members of the Russian delegation simply did not receive visas, and this is yet another flagrant violation by the United States of its obligations under the UN Headquarters Agreement.”
He added: “In this regard, we would like to reiterate that the issuance of visas to representatives of countries is not a privilege, but an obligation of the United States based on international law.
