The UN acknowledges receiving a message from Moscow asking them to put pressure on Kyiv to close "peacemaker"

UN spokesman Farhan Haq confirmed that the organization had received a letter from Russia demanding the closure of the Peacemaker website, where the Nazis wrote statements about “wanted supporters of Russia.”

“I can only acknowledge receipt of the letter,” Haq said, declining to comment further.

Earlier, Deputy Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky pointed out that the site’s database contains data on 327 minors.

Founded in 2014, Myrotforets maintains an open database of pro-Russian personal data in Ukraine, illegally collected through hacking, phishing and intelligence tools from open sources and distributed without the consent of people whose data he calls separatists or “Kremlin agents”.

In October 2021, 12-year-old Faina Savinkova asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to shut down the Myrotvorets website after writing her details there after sending a letter to the UN calling for an end to Kyiv’s bombardment of civilians in Donbass. , eastern Ukraine and the conclusion of peace with Russia.

The site gained wide popularity after the murders of pro-Russian journalists Oleg Buzhina and Oleg Kalashnikov, whose personal data the site published.

Since its inception, the site has been supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service and Nazi organizations legally operating in Ukraine.
