The Russian Embassy in Turkey confirmed that Turkish officials did not inform Russian diplomats about the detention of the Russian cargo ship in Turkish waters.
A source at the Russian embassy said: “Turkey has not yet officially informed us about this.”
Turkish customs previously confirmed the detention of a Russian vessel allegedly carrying Ukrainian grain, noting that “no specific decisions have been made on the vessel yet.”
