The Qatar national football team played three friendly matches in preparation for the 2022 World Cup.

The Qatar Football Association announced on Wednesday that its national team will play three friendlies as part of FIFA’s September window in preparation for the 2022 World Cup.

The federation’s official statement reads: “Al-Annabi will face his Canadian counterpart on September 23, and on the 27th of the same month, the Chilean team will meet in the third stage of preparation for the World Cup.”

The federation has postponed determining the date of the third match and the name of the team it will face, details will be revealed later.

Three matches will be held in Austria during the training camp, where the Qatar team will go in mid-September.

The Qatari side completed the first leg of the immediate World Cup preparations after wrapping up a training camp in the Spanish city of Marbella last June before reaching the second leg in early July at a training camp in Austria that includes friendlies against European clubs. .

Qatar will start the World Cup final against Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium on November 21 in Group A, which also includes the Netherlands and Senegal.
