The price of gas in Europe rose above $2,200 per thousand cubic meters

As a result of trading on the London Stock Exchange, gas prices in Europe increased by more than 7% and exceeded $2,200 per thousand cubic meters.

The price of the September futures contract at the TTF Center in the Netherlands rose to $2,210 per 1,000 cubic meters, or EUR 207.03 per MWh (based on the current EUR/USD exchange rate).

The overall increase in the cost of gas since the beginning of the day amounted to 7.7%.

On August 9, the price of gas for the first time since the end of July fell below $2,000 per 1,000 cubic meters.
