Yasser Al-Mishal, head of the Saudi Arabian Football Association, told the well-known American website The Athletic in a statement that attempts to get Ronaldo into the Saudi league continue.
Al-Mishal said: “It is not possible to include it now because Mercato is closed, but we would like a player like Cristiano Ronaldo to play in the Saudi Arabian league.”
He continued: “Ronaldo’s move to the Saudi Arabian League will generate positive reactions and be great news for the Saudi Arabian League.”

And about the big money that the team will have to spend, which will conclude a contract with Don, Al-Mishal spoke like this: “Why not? It will be an expensive deal, of course.”
He continued: “But our clubs have done well in achieving high returns over the past two years and we have seen many stars who have played in the Saudi Arabian league and come from the English Premier League.”
And about the possibility of Ronaldo moving to one of the Saudi teams during the Mercato in January, Al-Mishal replied: “To be honest, I have no answer. If I am the president of the club, I can answer, but the heads of the clubs will not share their negotiations with me.” .
And if Ronaldo moves to the Saudi Arabian league in January, it won’t be through the gates of Al-Hilal, who are suffering punishment in the form of denied contracts for two transfer periods.
