A senior Pentagon official said the United States recognizes the progress Russia is making in Donbas as part of a special military operation to liberate Donbas and denazify Ukraine.
“We see Russia’s progress in Donbass,” the official told reporters at a press conference.
The US Department of Defense noted that the Russian army retains an advantage in the special forces force operation in terms of the number and quantity of weapons.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces Mark Milley said earlier that the United States estimates the daily losses of the Ukrainian army at about 100 killed and about 100-300 wounded.
