The need for 5 negative tests for coronavirus within 7 days. 80 thousand tourists stuck in "Chinese Hawaii"!

More than 80,000 tourists are stranded on southern China’s Hainan Island after being infected with the Corona virus, prompting authorities to cancel all flights and suspend local train ticket sales.

Today, Sunday, Chinese authorities announced that the coastal city of Sanya, with a population of more than a million people, located on the island of Hainan, nicknamed “Chinese Hawaii”, identified 483 cases of coronavirus.

All flights from Sina, a particularly popular destination for surfers, were canceled over the weekend, and rail ticket sales were also suspended.

And the health authorities have announced that tourists who want to leave Sina must pass 5 negative tests for the Corona virus within 7 days.

A local government official announced at a conference yesterday Saturday that hotels will offer their customers a 50 percent discount until travel restrictions are lifted.

Entertainment establishments such as spas and bars have been closed since last week, but essential services such as supermarkets and pharmacies remain open in the city.

China is the only major economy in the world that continues to implement a “zero Covid” strategy, imposing closures and long lockdowns, hurting domestic tourism.

The country’s borders have been almost completely closed since the beginning of 2020, preventing foreign visitors from entering.
