The mayor of London warned the British about the winter without heating and food

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has warned that millions of Britons will not be able to afford heating and food next winter unless the government takes the necessary steps to avoid it.

On his Twitter page, Khan published Bloomberg statistics that the average electricity bill in Britain could exceed historical levels.

Beneath the statistic, the mayor wrote: “We’ve never seen anything like this before. We’re in for a winter when millions of people may not have to choose between heating and food, but unfortunately they won’t be able to afford heating and food at the same time. This is not has to happen. The government intervenes so that people can meet their basic needs.”
