The city of Energodar, which is adjacent to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, said that the level of radioactivity is normal, despite the bombing of the plant by Ukrainian troops.
This is stated in a statement by the city authorities on the eve of the arrival of the inspection commission of the International Atomic Energy Agency, after over the past 24 hours the station was subjected to more than 60 Ukrainian shelling by march and artillery, high-explosive shells from the village of Margants.
According to the authorities, the march carried out a raid on an infrastructure facility at the entrance to the city of Energodar, destroyed and damaged the administration building from the facade and inside the building, one of the station’s training centers, as well as a strike near one of the storage facilities for solid radioactive waste.
Despite this, the city authorities recognized the radiation situation as normal.
