The International Monetary Fund is supporting the Jordanian economy with $183 million.

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund announced in a statement the immediate disbursement of $183 million to Jordan under the Extended Credit Facility.

The council pledged to continue its support for Jordan in light of the global rise in commodity prices, according to Al-Mamlaka channel today, Friday.

The Fund said in a statement that the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund has completed the 2022 Article IV Consultation on Jordan and the Fourth Review under the Extended Financing Facility, abbreviated as (EFF).

“After the verification is completed, about $183 million will be immediately provided to Jordan,” he added.

Thus, the total amount of IMF payments to Jordan since the beginning of 2020 amounted to $1.356 billion, including $407 million under the Rapid Financing Facility at the end of May last year.
