The government said they did not know where he had been. Schultz personally inspects the turbine. "Nord Stream-1" for gas

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed that the turbine of the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline is in Germany and is ready for operation after it underwent maintenance in Canada, which, under the pretext of sanctions, prevented its delivery to Russia.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has arrived at the Siemens plant in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, to inspect a Siemens turbine installed on Nord Stream 1 at a time when Germany is suffering from a shortage of gas supplies.

The German chancellor said that there are no reasons not to supply a Siemens turbine to Russia, TASS reports.

In turn, the head of Siemens Energy said that there is still not enough documentation from Russia to transport a turbine for installation in the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline (a pipeline from Russia to Germany along the bottom of the Baltic Sea).

The turbine got stuck in Germany in the process of being sent from Canada to Russia, and this happened due to the fact that the Russian side did not receive permission to send the turbine, and on August 2, the official representative of the German government, Wolfgang Buechner, said that Berlin did not know the location of the Siemens turbine for the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline.

Earlier, Gazprom announced malfunctions in Siemens turbines at the Portovaya station in Nord Stream-1, and according to Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom, the German company did not carry out repairs for more than a quarter of the malfunctions. Siemens said, that he had not received any reports of turbine damage from Gazprom.
