The First Trailer for ‘The Flash’ has Revealed That Michael Keaton Will Reprise his Role as Batman

The Flash’s debut trailer has arrived, taking us on a voyage with the Scarlet Speedster through the DC Multiverse. One of the last DC films created before James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as co-heads of DC Studios and started reorganizing the DC Extended Universe is the film, which stars Ezra Miller as the title character.

The release date for The Flash is set for June 16, 2023. Below is the Super Bowl trailer for The Flash.

The new teaser, unveiled during the Super Bowl, summarises the major themes of Miller’s upcoming—and possibly final—adventure as The Flash. Barry Allen uses his super-speed abilities to go back to save his mother, who was killed while he was only a young boy. Barry accidentally alters the timeline and ends in various universes where he can’t distinguish between friends and enemies. Unfortunately, time travel is risky.

The narrative is based on the adored Flashpoint comics’ plot, which drastically reorganized the DC universe. The Flash will enable DC Studios to start over with a clean slate and only move ahead with the characters that suit the “Gods and Monsters” plot, as Gunn and Safran stated. Gunn has lauded the next film and assured fans that it will be a memorable cinematic event, highlighting that even though they are soft-rebooting the universe, it is still a crucial component of superhero filmmaking.

Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton play alternate iterations of Batman in The Flash. In Batgirl, the first live-action movie starring the adored heroine, Keaton, would also play the Dark Knight. Sadly, the project was abandoned during the Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Keaton was set to play a retired Bruce Wayne in the Batman Beyond movie adaptation, but that project was also scrapped. Keaton and Affleck are not anticipated to reappear in separate projects based on what is known about the upcoming movies and television shows set in the DC Universe. It’s also too early to tell if Miller will continue to play Scarlett Speedster in the DC Universe, especially given that the actor has recently developed problems that have cost Warner Bros. Discovery a lot of money to try and resolve.

2014 saw Miller join the DC Extended Universe and the announcement of The Flash’s solo film. Before starring in 2017’s Justice League, Miller appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad as the Scarlet Speedster. Since then, a lot has happened, and The Flash is currently in limbo. At the same time, Safran and Gunn finish their 10-year storyline that will tie together movies, TV shows, and even video games in the new DC Universe. The Flash’s box office will decide whether Miller stays a member of the DC Universe even if something has yet to be officially confirmed.

Christina Hodson, who wrote the screenplay for Bumblebee, directs The Flash. Iris West is portrayed by Kiersey Clemons, Nora Allen by Maribel Verd, and Henry Allen by Ron Livingston, who takes Billy Crudup’s place as Barry’s father following his appearance in Justice League. Sasha Calle also represents Supergirl. Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso, two prominent social media users, have unspecified roles in the film.
