The European Union intends to facilitate the export of food products from Russian ports, the service of which has been suspended due to European sanctions, US media report on a European project to ease sanctions.

“In accordance with the sanctions amendments, the EU also plans to facilitate the export of food products from Russian ports, which traders stopped serving after the EU sanctions,” the media reported.

After Russia launched a special operation in Ukraine, the EU imposed sanctions on sectors, companies and individuals in Russia, including restrictions on the movement of ships between Russian and European ports, and European insurance companies were banned from providing their services to Russian companies.
