The Eritrean Ambassador in Moscow: Exploring Training Opportunities for Our Army in Russia

The Ambassador of Eritrea in Moscow, Petros Tsegay, declared his country’s interest in training units of his army in Russia.

Ambassador Tsegay said on the sidelines of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum: “Eritrea would like to train its army in Russia.”

According to the ambassador, Asmara aims to expand cooperation with Moscow in the defense, economic and cultural fields.

It is noteworthy that earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia and Mali intend to supply additional batches of military equipment to the African Republic. Efforts to train the Malian army in Russian academies will also continue.
