The Dynamic Island Feature First Introduced on The iPhone 14 Pro Has Now Been Adapted for Use on Android

Chinese smartphone manufacturer realme solicited suggestions from its “committed followers” for ways to implement what was effectively a copycat version of the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island in an online competition titled “What’s your dream island like?” in September. Which iteration of Apple’s invention did the corporation choose?

According to Smartprix, realme CEO Madhav Sheth briefly posted a photograph of what he calls the “Little Capsule” on Twitter. This new feature will be included in the company’s next C-series phone and resembles Apple’s Dynamic Island in appearance but lacks functionality.

Realme’s significantly broader Mini Capsule appears to be confined to animating in reaction to battery charging status, at least based on the image and a video that @OnLeaks later released. Realme needs to reveal what else the function performs.

Apple’s Dynamic Island, in contrast, makes use of the pill-shaped space at the top of the display to show consumers pertinent contextual app and system information. For instance, Dynamic Island enlarges into a square form to match the Face ID confirmation interface when accepting an Apple Pay payment. It enlarges when you’re on a call so that you can access the phone’s controls immediately.

Not only real, but other Android device manufacturers have adopted Apple’s most recent iPhone UI innovation. LeEco, a Chinese company, has also released a new smartphone that blatantly imitates the iPhone 14 Pro series, right down to the Dynamic Island and triple-lens rear camera setup. Apps that mimic the appearance and actions of Dynamic Island have also been released on the Google Play Store for Android.

According to rumors, the iPhone 15 variants for this year will resemble the iPhone 14 versions. The pill-and-hole cutout will nonetheless include the full lineup. As a result, all iPhone 15 models will feature Dynamic Island, which debuted in the iPhone 14 Pro models and do away with the notch.
