The dollar jumps again in Egypt

The dollar’s exchange rate jumped against the pound today, Monday, at the end of banking transactions in Egypt, as it rose by about two piastres, recording an increase of about 5 piastres since the start of trading in the week.

The price of the dollar rose today in the Central Bank to a record 19.44 pounds for buying and 19.55 pounds for selling, while the price of the dollar in the National Bank fixed 19.46 pounds for buying and 19.52 pounds for selling, and in Banque Misr, the price of the dollar today recorded 19.46 pounds for the purchase and 19.52 pounds for the sale.

The price of the dollar against the pound has continued to rise since last Tuesday, especially after the meeting of the Central Bank’s monetary policy committee and fixing the interest rate last Thursday.
