President of the Russian Football Federation Alexander Dyukov announced the date of the first meeting of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, which will consider a decision to ban Russian teams from participating in international competitions.
The Russian news agency TASS quotes Dyukov as saying: “According to the March lawsuit, the first meeting in the format of a videoconference will take place on July 5. On March 7, the Russian Football Federation filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision of the International Football Association (FIFA) and the European Football Association (UEFA) to exclude Russian clubs from participation in tournaments sponsored by the two organizations.
