On Thursday, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation introduced a new banknote with a face value of 100 rubles, and the regulator said that the new banknote will be put into circulation from today (June 30, 2022).
The front of the new banknote features the Spasskaya Tower, the main tower of the Kremlin’s eastern wall, also known as the clock tower, and the reverse features the Rzhevsky monument to a Soviet soldier.
The new banknotes are treated with special materials for added security and contain a QR code that takes the user to the central bank’s website.
