The future of the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo is still shrouded in fog in light of ongoing press reports confirming his desire to leave Manchester United before the end of the summer transfer period.
Ronaldo, 37, returned to Old Trafford last year but his team’s deteriorating results and his withdrawal from the Champions League prompted him to try to find another team.
And the Spanish newspaper AS has reported in recent hours that Ronaldo has the option of moving to Borussia Dortmund in the coming days along with Sporting Lisbon.

However, the Bild newspaper denied recent reports in Spain of Dortmund’s contact with the Portuguese legend.
She explained that Dortmund, having been shocked by Sebastian Haller’s cancer, signed Anthony Modest, preventing a new striker from coming this season.
Ronaldo’s whopping €29m salary also exceeds the German club’s salary cap, making the deal extremely difficult.
