Tehran criticizes South Korean President’s view that Iran "enemy" For the Emirates as for the northern neighbor of their country

The Iranian government has criticized South Korean President Yoon Seok Yul’s statement during his visit to the UAE that Iran is an enemy of the UAE, just as North Korea is an enemy of his country.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “We are investigating the interfering statements by the President of South Korea about relations between Iran and the UAE as two neighboring and friendly countries … and we are awaiting clarification from the South Korean Foreign Ministry in this regard.”
The statement added: “The statements cited by the Korean President indicate a complete lack of knowledge about the historical and friendly relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the countries of the Persian Gulf region,” adding: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is seriously following the recent positions of South Korea, especially the statements of its President regarding relations between Iran and the UAE, which lack “the slightest bit of diplomatic legitimacy.
