The Taliban government in Afghanistan announced today, Thursday, that border guards managed to thwart an operation to smuggle 14 kilograms of gold into Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The Taliban tweeted: “Border guards from the Ministry of the Interior at Kabul International Airport stopped smuggling 14 kilos of pure gold into Dubai.”
