Sudan’s gold exports rise to more than $1.3 billion

Sudan’s Central Bank announced that the country’s gold exports rose in the first half of this year to $1.315 billion, up about $300 million from the same period last year.

Abdul Rahman Ardol, CEO of Sudan Mining Company Mubarak, attributed the continuous growth in gold production since 2020 to “the hard work done by the mining sector and its affiliates, ministries and relevant institutions.”

Ardol was quoted by the Sudan News Agency as saying that these successes “represent an open book and a statement of action for all attempts to disappoint workers and investors in Sudan’s mining sector.”
