Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has commented on the news that he and his friend, Argentine star Lionel Messi, could join Inter Miami, owned by English star David Beckham.
Luis Suarez’s contract with Spanish football club Atlético Madrid expired this summer.
And the Spanish newspaper Marca quoted Suarez as saying: “To play with Messi at Inter Miami? It is not true”.
He added: “A lot of things are being said and we as players cannot deny what is being said 24 hours a day.”
He continued: “We just let them say, Leo has a future in Paris and in turn, I don’t know where he would like to retire.”
It is noteworthy that Luis Suarez closed the door on the idea of moving to the Argentine River Plate just recently, after the latter’s elimination from the Copa Libertadores, and his name is associated with a move to the English Premier League, especially Aston. Villa to play under his former Liverpool teammate manager Steven Gerrard.
