The United States recorded an increase in visits to RT and Sputnik after the start of a Russian special operation in Ukraine, according to a Microsoft study.
The company’s 40-page report on “alleged Russian disinformation and cyberattacks” states that there has been a significant increase in visits and views since January 2022, peaking on February 24, when growth was 82%.
The study says that the measures taken to reduce visits to the Sputnik and RT sites are not working, and the numbers are growing, and they are already comparable to the views of the Wall Street Journal.
It is reported that in early March, the European Union banned the broadcasting of the RT channel and the work of the Sputnik agency.
