French newspaper Le Parisien reported that Christophe Galtier, Paris Saint-Germain’s coach, and Luis Campos, sports adviser, decided to resolve the issue within the team.
She added that the Paris club hired a nutrition expert on a daily basis, who was a former Spanish player, and his first decision was to ban the players from drinking iced tea and soft drinks.
The newspaper pointed out that these drinks were not suitable for players who compete at a high level, but neither former coach Mauricio Pochettino nor sports director Leonardo paid any attention to them.
She also noted that the nutrition expert meets with Paris Saint-Germain players daily, twice on the sidelines of breakfast and lunch, to confirm some instructions.
Saint-Germain started this season well, beating Nantes (4-0) in the Super Cup, then Clermont (5-0) and Montpellier (5-2) in the first two rounds of the league.
