Stoltenberg: Almost all NATO countries agreed to the entry of Sweden and Finland

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that almost all member states have ratified the protocols on the accession of Sweden and Finland to the alliance.

At a joint press conference with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristerson, Stoltenberg said: “As invited countries, you (Sweden and Finland) are now integrated into political and military structures … Many countries have provided security guarantees for both countries. strengthened its presence in the Baltic Sea region. … the accession process has become the fastest in the modern history of NATO.. Almost all allies have completed national procedures (ratification of accession protocols).”

And the NATO Secretary General expects that NATO allies will support Sweden and Finland if “these two countries are under pressure.”

In addition, the Prime Minister of Sweden said that 28 out of 30 NATO countries have already ratified the accession protocols.
