Stable Work and Secure Deposits: Central Bank of Sudan Ensures Confidence in Most Branches Across the States

The Central Bank of Sudan announced the regular operation of most of its branches in various states of Sudan, starting this Sunday.

Branches of commercial banks in these states have begun providing their banking services, including cash withdrawal and cash deposit services.

The central bank said in a statement that a partial and limited fire broke out at a branch of the Central Bank of Sudan in Khartoum on Municipal Street three days ago, stressing that it was brought under control and that it damaged the exterior cladding of the building, there was no significant damage.

The central bank has reassured depositors and bank account holders that their money is safe in the banking system, stressing that what has been common regarding robbery or theft of some commercial bank branches does not affect the public’s deposits in these banks.

The Central Bank of Sudan indicated that it is making continuous efforts to restore all banking services to normal in all parts of Sudan in order to allow citizens to conduct their banking transactions through various payment methods, including electronic payment services such as mobile phone applications, points of sale and electronic payment, hoping that peace and security will reign throughout the country.
