Speaker of the State Duma called on the people of Ukraine not to rush to destroy Russian-language textbooks

The head of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, urged the people of Ukraine not to rush to get rid of Russian-language textbooks, so that they would not have to look for them later.

“In the Odessa region, textbooks on the Russian language and Russian literature were confiscated, and all Russian writers were excluded from the educational program. In the Nikolaev region, the Russian language was banned in schools, “and called on” the inhabitants of Ukraine Do not rush to get rid of textbooks in Russian and wait until the first of next September, so that you do not have to look for them later.

Volodin also stressed that the restoration of the rights and freedoms of citizens who wish to speak and learn their native language, Russian, is “one of the tasks of the special operation.”

In the same context, he considered that “it is right to hold Ukrainian officials accountable for violating the rights of the people.”
