South Korea.. Fighter crashed, pilots survived

The Ministry of Defense of South Korea reported that the Air Force light attack aircraft (KA-1) crashed in the Mukjeri area, near a private house.

The Air Force said in a statement that the Wonju base light attack aircraft crashed while taking off from the base, and two pilots survived and were detained by fire authorities after they threw the plane’s seats.

While it is not clear if the private house was damaged, the military authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

This is the second accident of its kind: on November 20, a KF-16 fighter jet crashed in the sky west of Wonju, Gangwon Province.
