A diplomatic-military source told reporters that the US Department of Defense is recruiting Afghan pilots who fled to the US a year ago to serve in Ukraine.
The source indicated that these pilots began their training in California.
The source added: “As far as we know, the Pentagon began recruiting former Afghan militant pilots who fled to the US a year ago when the Americans left.”
The source said these pilots are currently being trained at military airfields in California.
According to the source, the topic includes not only former pilots, but also other Afghans who served in special forces units. The American side also offers them to undergo training and sign a contract for service in Ukraine.
