The Algerian group Sonatrach signed on Thursday 5 new contracts with foreign and Algerian companies, including a contract worth 56 billion Algerian dinars in favor of the Italian company Technimont.
According to the message of the complex, two development contracts have been concluded with the Italian companies Technimont and Arkada in the form of design, supply and construction.
In order to develop the Gard El Pavel hydrocarbon field in the south of the country, a contract was signed with the Italian company Technimont for the construction of a plant, in the form of design, supply and construction, for the production of liquefied petroleum gas in the amount equivalent to 56 billion Algerian dinars.
The expected processing capacity of this plant is 10 million cubic meters per day of associated gas, which will produce 1,000 tons per day of liquefied petroleum gas, 300 tons per day of condensate and 8.7 million cubic meters per day of gas. The duration of completion of this plant is 36 months.
In parallel with the completion of this plant, a contract was signed with the Sonatrach affiliate of the National Canal Fund for the construction of a 14-inch pipeline over a distance of 65 km in the form of design, supply and construction.
This line will transport LPG, which will be produced at this plant, to the LPG transport network “LR1” in Hassi Messaoud. The construction is expected to be completed within 20 months and the contract value will be 9.9 billion Algerian dinars.
On the other hand, during the event, three more contracts for the supply of equipment were signed with innovative companies and start-ups.
These contracts allow Sonatrach to purchase equipment for hydrocarbon processing plants from innovative Algerian companies that could produce this equipment locally, which was previously imported for hard currency.
In this regard, a contract was awarded to the start-up company “Gansol” for the design, manufacture and installation of two-story separation equipment at the level of the GPL2 liquefied petroleum gas processing plant in Hassi Messaoud for an estimated amount of 140 million dinars.
Two contracts were also signed for the design, manufacture and supply of high and low pressure three-fluid separation equipment for the Tin Foy-Tebencourt gas processing plant.
A contract has been signed between Sonatrach and its subsidiary, the National Civil Engineering and Construction Company, to build a residential building for workers at a pumping station under construction in Gerd Chefa, Hassi Messaoud, in the south of the country. .
The same source indicated that the capacity of this base ranges from 82 to 120 beds, and the completion time of this facility is estimated at 24 months, with a contract value of 3.4 billion Algerian dinars.
