Authorities have announced that a major search and rescue operation has begun off the southern coast of Greece after a fishing boat carrying migrants capsized.
And Greek authorities have announced that the death toll from the capsizing of the boat, which was carrying them near the Greek peninsula of Mora in the Mediterranean Sea, has risen to 59, and the number of rescued at the moment is 104 people.
Six Coast Guard ships, a Navy frigate, a military transport vehicle and an Air Force helicopter are involved in the search for the missing.
It is also believed that the boat, whose destination was Italy, set sail from Tobruk in eastern Libya.
On Sunday, 90 migrants aboard a US-flagged yacht were rescued in the same area after receiving a distress signal.
