Signs of a breakthrough in the gas crisis in Syria. Work is underway to restore 4 dead wells

The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources of Syria announced the start of trial operation of gas plant compressors in the south of the central region.

The Ministry of Oil explained that “the project consists of 4 compressors driven by 4 gas turbines, and the capacity of each compressor is 2 million cubic meters of gas per day.”

The ministry indicated that the operation of these compressors will help to restore a number of stalled wells, increase the amount of gas produced by about 500,000 m3 per day, and it is expected that the actual operation of the compressors will begin within two weeks.
