A UK report has revealed new developments related to the desire of Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, chairman of the board of directors of Qatar Islamic Bank, to acquire ownership of the Manchester United Club.
In February last year, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani submitted a formal offer to acquire the club.
And the British Sky Sports Network has confirmed that Sheikh Jassim will make a second presentation to the leadership of the Red Devils tomorrow, Wednesday.
The move comes after a Qatari delegation visited Manchester United last Thursday, during which they held talks with management over the acquisition of the club.
The British network, citing its sources, said that the meeting that took place between representatives of Sheikh Jasim bin Hamad and the leaders of Manchester United was very positive.
Sheikh Jassim’s advisers are currently preparing a new proposal, which is expected to be submitted by the end of work tomorrow, Wednesday.
The Qataris are confident that the club’s American Glazer family, who believe Manchester United are worth at least £6bn (€6.9bn), is more than ever ready for the sale process.
And a previous report by British newspaper The Sun confirmed that Sheikh Jasim bin Hamad’s bid was the second one made by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe to buy the club.
She said Qatar’s offer at the time was £5 billion ($6 billion).
