Shakira breaks the silence: I sacrificed my career so that Pique did not leave

Colombian singer Shakira has confirmed that she is going through one of the “most difficult and saddest” moments of her life, talking about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique, a Barcelona player.

In an interview with Spanish magazine El, Shakira stated that Piqué, with whom she has two children, “wanted to play football and win titles” and she should support him.

She added: “He must terminate his contract with Barcelona and move with me to the United States, where my career is, or I must continue to work where he works.”

She noted that one of them would have had to sacrifice, adding, “That’s why I made sacrifices and efforts. I put my career in second place and moved to Spain to support him to play football and win titles. It was an act of love. .”

Shakira continued: “No matter how things turned out or how Pique and I have feelings for each other after our separation, he is the father of my children. We have a job for these two wonderful children.”

She explained: “I believe that we will find what is best for their future and the best solution for everyone, and I hope that people will give us the opportunity and space to do this in privacy.”

Shakira concluded: “I have nowhere to hide from the paparazzi with my two sons, except in my house. We can’t walk around the garden like a normal family or go eat ice cream without them.”
