Schubert reveals Al-Ahly’s position on the decisive match with Egypt

Prominent Egyptian sports journalist Ahmed Schubert spoke about the latest developments regarding the decision of Al Ahly officials to withdraw from the Egyptian Cup and Egyptian Super Cup.

And the board of directors of the Al-Ahly club decided not to participate in the competition organized by the Egyptian Football Association (Egypt Cup – Egypt Super), after the decision to cancel the goal in the Al-Ahly match against Farko in the Egyptian league, where the administration Al-Ahly accused the video referee in the said match, Mahmoud Ashour, of deliberately canceling the target using video technology.

Al-Ahly demanded the suspension of referee Mahmoud Ashour, an investigation into him and the dismissal of Essam Abdel-Fattah, head of the refereeing committee.

The Egyptian Football Association previously announced the departure of Essam Abdel Fattah and the appointment of Mark Clattenburg as his replacement for the development of the refereeing committee, while a decision regarding referee Mahmoud Ashour has not yet been made.

Ahmed Schubert, close to the administration of Al-Ahly, revealed in television statements the position of Al-Ahly regarding the confrontation with Egypt scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, as part of the 16th round of the Egyptian Cup, after the dismissal of Essam Abdel Fattah. from the chairman of the judging committee.

Schubert said: “Al-Ahli is waiting for an answer to Mahmud Ashur’s letter, the ruling of the mouse, and then he will make his decision in the next few hours.”

And if Al Ahli decides to play tomorrow’s match against Egypt Clearing, he could also agree to face his rival Zamalek in the Egyptian Super Cup match scheduled for October 28 next year at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
