Saudi Arabian Club Offers Record Sum for Wilfried Zaha

According to press reports, Crystal Palace player Wilfried Zaha has received a huge offer from the Saudi club to join their ranks at the end of the current season.

The Ivorian’s current contract with Crystal Palace expires at the end of the current season, that is, in the summer of 2023, there is no agreement on an extension yet.

According to the English newspaper Daily Mail, Saudi club Al Ittihad provided Zaha with £9 million (about US$10.942 million) for one season.

The newspaper notes that Zaha, whose contract with the English club expires in the summer, is thinking about his long-term future.

Saudi club Al Ittihad’s offer to Zahe is the highest in its history, according to the Daily Mail.

Crystal Palace offered Zaha a weekly salary of £200,000 including bonuses and other benefits.

The newspaper pointed out that Al-Ittihad were competing with another club in the Saudi League to enlist the services of the 30-year-old, which is Al-Nasr, who recently signed Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.

And it said that the weekly salary that Wilfried Zaha was waiting for at Al Ittihad, if he agreed to the deal, would be in the range of £320,000.

But Zaha faces the difficult task of making a decision about his next phase in his career, knowing he is wanted in Europe by Italian club AC Milan.

The same newspaper confirmed that Zaha enjoys playing in the Champions League, but the thought of a high salary that can be received in another team cannot be ignored.
