Samsung has Announced the Release of a 4TB T7 Shield Portable SSD

A 4TB version of Samsung’s well-liked T7 Shield portable SSD has now been released, joining the 1TB and 2TB versions that were previously available.

The T7 Shield is Samsung’s most damage-resistant SSD and comes with a tough case that shields it from the elements inside and outside. The enclosure of the Shield is composed of aluminum. It can survive rain and other weather conditions thanks to its IP65 water and dust resistance rating. Additionally, it protects against drops over nine feet high and crush resistance.

The aluminum has a rubberized outer covering around it for additional security. Its compact size makes it transportable and perfect for journeys. There is a black version of the 4TB model.

The T7 Shield provides read and write rates of up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s, respectively. It uses a USB-C to USB-C connector to a Mac. It features a built-in thermal guard to guard against degradation from overheating.

The 4TB T7 Shield Portable SSD sells on the Samsung website for $430. Additionally, Samsung offers a 1TB device for $100 and a 2TB model for $180.
