Egypt international Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool professional, has confirmed that he misses his former Reds teammate, Senegalese Sadio Mane, who joined Bayern Munich this summer.
Salah told the FA website on the eve of Saturday’s scheduled Liverpool vs Manchester City Community Shield Cup match: “I won almost everything with Liverpool, I only noticed it when (my colleague) Arnold told me about that after we won the FA Cup last season, he told me that we won almost everything here.”
He continued: “Yes, I have won everything with Liverpool, individually and collectively, but I want to win trophies for the second, third and fourth time, that’s my mentality.”
Regarding Liverpool newcomer Darwin Nunes, Uruguayan, Salah said: “I am very excited and want to play alongside Darwin Nunes. He had a great season at Benfica and we competed against each other in the past.”
And of his former colleague Mane Salah, he said: “Sadio is gone and I will miss him very much. He had great seasons at Liverpool so I wish him all the best. I also wish Nunez success and scoring a lot of goals for us.” ”
He concluded: “I think we are in a good position to compete for everything with new contracts. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision and be positive about everything.”
It should be noted that Salah recently signed a new contract that will keep him at Liverpool until 2025.
